  The British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai Annual Burns Supper 2009

  Holding celebrations early due to the Chinese New Year holiday, guests at this charity fundraiser enjoyed Scottish country dancing – featuring live bag-piping and music courtesy of a band specially flown in from Scotland by Virgin Atlantic Airways – and a five course dinner that included haggis with neeps ‘n’ tatties. One of the highlights of the evening at the Pudong Shangri-La hotel was a silent auction for two limited edition bottles of whisky donated by The Famous Grouse. The evening raised over £10,000 with all proceeds going to two local children's charities.
